About Us
Our Vision: A community where every elderly person feels valued, supported, and connected.
In 2008, our grandmother was diagnosed with a rare neurodegenerative disease called Progressive Supranuclear Palsy, or PSP. PSP affords its victims an average life expectancy of six years after disease onset. Yet, statistics surrender to spirit. Through social interaction, exercise, and lively engagement, our grandmother defied her disease and outlived all expectations, astounding her doctors. Our experience with our own grandmother helped us realize how important social interaction is for the elderly. To combat loneliness in elderly communities, we founded Gentle Generations, a youth-led nonprofit whose mission is to foster connection between older and younger generations through creative and compassionate personal engagement programs.
